Over 5 years ago, Allan’s path with Nomical began while he served as Chief Financial Officer at easyGym, a company he co-founded. Recognising Nomical’s commitment to innovation and exceptional customer service, Allan transitioned to join the Nomical team to help with their growth strategy.

Allan’s professional journey includes a substantial tenure at Deloitte where he contributed to the success of various high-profile projects. This experience honed his skills and expertise in finance and strategic planning whilst focussing relentlessly on client needs.

Allan’s unique blend of strategic vision, operational precision, and customer focus ensures that all aspects of the business are aligned towards achieving overarching goals while meticulously attending to the finer details. This leadership style fosters a culture of excellence within the company.

Outside of work, Allan prioritises spending quality time with his family. You might also find him showcasing his (lack of) skills on the football pitch, coaching his son’s grassroots team or mastering the art of the BBQ! His passion for continuous learning is evident in his diverse reading habits, which encompass an endless array of subjects.

Simon is a co-founding director of Nomical, with a wealth of experience leading the company’s operations teams. He is deeply committed to the importance of both his staff and customers and prioritises building strong relationships through leading by example and working collaboratively to achieve results. At the forefront of his approach is a customer-centric focus, ensuring that every decision is made with the customer’s needs in mind.

Simon’s passion for travel and tourism was evident from his first degree, and he continues to indulge in this passion by regularly travelling with his family and friends. He loves exploring new places, immersing himself in different cultures, trying local delicacies, and learning about the history of each destination.

When not working, Simon values spending time with his loved ones and staying active. He enjoys exercising in his spare time, including coaching his daughter’s football team and completing long-distance runs. In fact, he recently completed the London Marathon in support of a charity, demonstrating his commitment to giving back.

Simon is also a music lover and a theatre enthusiast! Everyone knows he is particularly obsessed with The Beatles!

Jon is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and co-founder at Nomical, where he plays a pivotal role in driving technological innovation. With a passion for solving complex customer problems, Jon has a relentless dedication to finding solutions, even when none exist in the market.

Jon’s technical acumen and innovative mindset have led to the creation of groundbreaking technologies, such as an unmanned gym access control system, and our interactive console for managing thousands of leased lines. His strategic vision and deep understanding of customer needs drive Nomical’s proactive and personalised approach to IT management, ensuring every client receives tailored solutions that meet their unique requirements. He continually pushes the boundaries of what is possible, inspiring the team to achieve new heights and ensuring that Nomical remains at the forefront of technological advancement.

Outside of work, Jon is a dedicated family man who loves to travel and create lasting memories with his loved ones. He is an avid football enthusiast and a food lover, always dreaming about his next meal!

As Nomical’s first employee, Glenn Wall brings over 21 years of IT experience, including more than a decade as an Operations Manager. Glenn is known for his detailed planning and dedication, leading the operations team with a customer-focused approach and setting a high standard by example. His broad range of experience with various IT solutions underpins his reliable and thorough management style.

Outside of work, Glenn is a family man and loves spending quality time with his young children. He is also a keen runner, having recently completed his first marathon for a charity close to his heart in impressive time, which speaks volumes about his dedication and commitment and planning (training for it).

Alaine’s has 20 years of experience in sales and marketing spanning leisure, property, hospitality & sport. She has a strong background in building brands, teams & products from the ground up for start-ups, SME’s and industry giants. Alaine is deeply passionate about leveraging data-driven insights and innovative digital strategies to enhance brand value through compelling storytelling and transformative digital experiences.

Alaine’s journey with Nomical began during her tenure at Pure Gym 15 years ago when the company was their supplier. She later reconnected with Nomical while working at easyGym, and now she is proud to be part of the team.

Outside of work, Alaine finds solace and adventure in nature – whether hiking up mountains or exploring the wilderness with her husband and dogs. An avid wildlife enthusiast, Alaine has travelled the globe photographing endangered species in their natural habitats, from polar bears and mountain gorillas to orangutans and pangolins.

Kai began his journey at Nomical as an apprentice, gaining invaluable experience in various departments. His favourite role was in the field, where his consistency, friendliness, and motivation shone through. After a year, Kai achieved a milestone by getting his own van, marking his growth and dedication.

Outside of work, Kai is an avid gamer. His enthusiasm and commitment, both professionally and personally, make him a great team player.

Levent brings over a decade of expertise as a Network Field Engineer, ensuring seamless network operations by configuring routers, switches, and servers and resolving intricate network challenges. He enjoys tackling diverse projects and creating custom networking solutions. Levent graduated from the Izmir Institute of Technology and furthered his education at the West London Business College, which provided him with a solid foundation to continually learn and improve his skills.

At Nomical, Levent oversees hardware installations and troubleshoots network issues with precision, delivering top-tier service to clients.

Beyond work, Levent explores emerging technologies, enjoys swimming, and embraces global travel and has a passion for all animals.

Ronnie is a Senior Field Engineer at Nomical, known for his professionalism, reliability, and helpfulness. His achievements include participating in Nomical’s 3 Peak Challenge for charity and being awarded Employee of the Year in 2023. Ronnie enjoys working in the field team and is always willing to share his knowledge to assist others.

Outside of work, Ronnie values family time, enjoys playing golf, and loves watching football, reflecting his active and community-oriented lifestyle.

With over 15 years of experience as a Field Engineer, Junior has worked with major tech companies, handling clients such as RBS, Wimbledon, and Harrods. He values excellent customer service, treating customers like family, and believes in the ethos, “If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well.” Junior is driven and has a proven track record of solving problems, contributing to positive changes for other Field Engineers to make their lives easier, something which he finds important.

Outside of work, Junior prioritises his kids and values a strong work-life balance. He enjoys catching up with friends, listening to great music, and exploring the world through travel.

Lee is a Senior Infrastructure Architect at Nomical, where he has dedicated over eight years of service, progressing from a Solutions Engineer to his current role. Lee has led a wide range of projects, including implementing cutting-edge Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions and orchestrating seamless AWS cloud migrations. He has great expertise in managing complex technical rollouts.

One of the highlights of Lee’s career was a significant project in the South of France, where he used his problem-solving skills and adaptability. His comprehensive understanding of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure solutions has been invaluable in driving the company’s technological advancements.

Beyond IT, Lee is an avid football enthusiast and an accomplished golfer. He once scored a hole-in-one during a customer’s golf day, a memorable event that made a lasting impression.

With over 15 years of experience in product development, Toby is a seasoned developer with a fervent passion for product management. His agency background has honed his skills in creating innovative solutions that prioritise user experience. As an AWS-certified professional, Toby leverages cloud technology to optimise and streamline development processes, ensuring robust and scalable product delivery. His commitment to excellence is evident in every project he undertakes.

Beyond work, Toby enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures. A coffee aficionado, he delights in brewing the perfect cup! A football enthusiast and woodworking hobbyist, Toby finds creative satisfaction in crafting elegant and functional pieces.

Chris Lawrence joined Nomical in 2016 as a Senior Technical Consultant and Solutions Architect. He is goal-oriented and a proficient multitasker, dedicated to leveraging his technical skills to meet customer needs and contribute to organisational growth and success.

Chris is an accomplished IT professional with extensive expertise in network management, technical support, project management, and incident management. His skills span critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution.

His technical proficiency includes firewalls, routers, switches, storage solutions, and various technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Microsoft technologies, and cloud identity solutions. Chris excels in environments that require a logical and analytical approach to solving complex issues and is committed to continuous professional development in the ever-evolving field of IT.

Outside of work, Chris is passionate about photography, capturing the world through his lens. He also enjoys football and long walks with his dog.

Chris is a highly experienced network and infrastructure architect with over 17 years in the enterprise IT and telecommunications industry. Known for his ability to identify client needs and translate them into effective technical solutions, Chris has excelled in managing multiple projects and navigating complex business processes. He has held senior positions at companies such as DXC Technology, where he designed and implemented cutting-edge infrastructure and network solutions for clients in the public and defence sectors. His technical expertise spans routing and switching, network security, compute and storage and cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Beyond his technical skills, Chris is recognised for his friendly and methodical approach to problem-solving. Passionate about continuous learning and innovation, he is excited to embrace new technologies and contribute to dynamic projects.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends, going for walks with his Labrador Retriever “Barney” and flying Ikarus microlights.

With over 15 years in IT, Jonatan Bergman is a seasoned professional who has worked for prominent companies like Volvo IT in Gothenburg, Sweden. At Nomical, he serves as an escalation point for support while simultaneously managing projects, showcasing his problem-solving skills and dedication to efficient project execution. Jonatan’s ability to balance support and project roles is an example of his ability to adapt prioritise and multitask.

Beyond his professional life, Jonatan is a dedicated Manchester City fan, attending all home and away games. He also plays handball in the Premier League, demonstrating his passion for sports and teamwork.

Sam is a highly motivated infrastructure professional with a proven track record of delivering high-level results in both public and private sectors. With extensive experience, Sam brings a robust skill set and a strong willingness to continuously learn and adapt. His dedication to efficiency and dependability is evident in his approach to every project, ensuring optimal outcomes through hard work and a helpful attitude.

Outside of work, Sam is an avid gamer, enjoys exercising, and takes pride in being a devoted cat uncle.

Matthew Davies brings over 10 years of IT support experience, working with businesses of various sizes and sectors. His meticulous attention to detail and logical troubleshooting ensure that issues are identified and resolved efficiently.

Matthew believes in the power of clear communication and teamwork, always striving to deliver long-term, future-proof solutions. He is always there to lend a helping hand and his willingness to take on any task make him an invaluable asset to the team.

Outside of work, Matthew is often still found behind computers – just gaming on them instead! He has a keen love of TV and movies, however, football always takes priority above everything!

Ken has over ten years of experience working in IT, with a keen interest in technology and a passion for understanding new systems. Known for his helpful, friendly, and collaborative nature, Ken excels at problem-solving, tackling both new and old challenges with a relaxed demeanour.

Outside of work, Ken enjoys nature, long walks, and traveling. He loves spending time with family and friends, sharing hobbies, and trying new things.

Jason Hanmer has a strong background in telecommunications, complemented by his education at Manchester University. He is skilled in networks, problem-solving, and multitasking. Jason’s attention to detail ensures the precision and accuracy of his work, which is critical in the fast-paced world of IT.

In his personal life, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and following Formula 1. He is also an amateur golfer, finding happiness and relaxation on the golf course.

Zoe Ruscoe has a strong background, having worked at multiple MSP’s before joining Nomical. After having children, she balanced family responsibilities with further education, completing a degree in Cloud and Networking. Since joining Nomical five years ago, Zoe has progressed from a Support Analyst to becoming the first point of contact for network-related incidents, demonstrating her adaptability to tackle unexpected challenges head on. She loves continuous learning, whether through formal courses or YouTube videos.

Outside of work, Zoe manages a busy family life with three children. She pursues hobbies such as sports, running, and reading. Zoe is also a Physical Fitness Coach and loves watching her kids participate in gymnastics and football, showcasing her commitment to community engagement and self-care practises. Her dedication to continuous learning is evident as she seeks professional development opportunities, even in her limited spare time.

Mohammed is known for his diligence, proactive approach, and collaborative spirit. Throughout his career, he has consistently enhanced his technical skills, overcome complex challenges, and significantly contributed to various projects’ success. Mohammed is committed to professional development, always seeking growth opportunities to stay ahead in the ever-evolving tech landscape. He quickly adjusts to new tasks, challenges, and environments, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.

In his personal life, Mohammed enjoys walking, traveling, and exploring new cultures and landscapes. He finds relaxation in listening to music and watching movies or binge-watching series, with a can of Redbull in hand!

With over 15 years of experience in sales support, including 8 years within the MSP industry, Sam Cunningham has a proven track record of driving operational growth and efficiency. At her previous role, she played a pivotal role in transitioning the business from a reactive to a proactive MSP provider by building and leading the sales department. Her ability to work across multiple departments including sales, accounts, and provisioning ensures she delivers results in a collaborative, efficient manner.

Outside of work, Sam is a dedicated mum to her 9-year-old daughter, who is passionate about dance, and manages a busy family schedule with her husband of 18 years.

Robin is the Provisioning Supervisor at Nomical, where he excels in managing relationships, overseeing processes, and coordinating complex projects. With a keen eye for detail, Robin ensures seamless planning, coordination, and logistics for all our customer needs. His expertise in liaising with vendors and clients, combined with his meticulous approach to ordering and project management, ensures that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Robin’s role involves constant communication and relationship-building, ensuring that every project is completed on time and to the highest standard. His dedication to maintaining strong relationships and optimising processes stands out.

Outside of work, Robin is a passionate NFL fan, enjoying the excitement and strategy of the game. He brings the same enthusiasm and strategic thinking to his role at Nomical, always striving for excellence and efficiency in everything he does.

Jack Evans brings over four years of experience in sales operations. Known for his hands-on approach and excellent communication skills, Jack seamlessly interacts with all departments as the Sales Administrator. He is always ready to tackle new challenges and continuously learn, contributing to the efficiency and success of sales operations.

Outside of work, Jack stays fit and energised through gym workouts, football, and running. He enjoys indulging in good food and is a huge fan of podcasts and comedy, which keep him entertained and informed.

Michelle Liddle has been with Nomical for 10 years, starting in a customer service role and working her way up to Provisioning Supervisor. Known for her exceptional organisational skills, Michelle always prioritises the customer experience, striving to exceed expectations in every interaction. She is dedicated to building strong relationships and ensuring smooth processes. Michelle is a great team player, always ready to support her colleagues. She has always held customer service roles and spent many years as a cabin crew member for Thomas Cook.

Outside of work, Michelle is a devoted mum to two children. As a family, they love spending time in nature, traveling to different countries, and enjoying the company of friends. They are all animal lovers, reflecting Michelle’s nurturing and caring nature.

Connie has 11 years of experience in telecoms and PBX connectivity project management. Starting in residential connectivity and moving on to business connectivity and project management, Connie works closely with customers to upgrade and install connectivity solutions, including temporary setups. She has been involved in significant projects like the member WiFi and SD-WAN migrations.

Personally, Connie is a mum and has two dogs. She loves sports, supporting Stockport County in football and Manchester Storm in ice hockey. Connie enjoys exploring the country with her family, making use of their English Heritage passes. She also loves to attend gigs, and makes sure she reads every single day, even if she can only manage 15 minutes, demonstrating her eagerness for continuous learning.

With over 16 years of experience, Jade Saint is a seasoned Accounts Clerk specialising in accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing. Her meticulous approach ensures that every detail is handled with precision, particularly in preparing management accounts and ensuring payments and records are accurate. Jade excels in bank and credit card reconciliation, demonstrating her thorough understanding and expertise in financial management. She is also proficient in Microsoft systems and Xero Accounting software, making her a valuable asset to the finance team.

Outside of her professional life, Jade is a devoted “Cool Mum” who treasures family days out and traveling, whether it’s in a caravan exploring the countryside or venturing abroad to experience new cultures. She finds joy in catching up with friends, listening to music, and staying active by going to the gym.

AAT qualified since 1999, Louise has over 30 years of experience in various finance roles across the fashion, media, and leisure industries. She excels in overseeing financial transactions and ledger entries, specialising in management accounts, financial analysis, reporting, accounts payable, and payroll. Louise is adept at improving and implementing financial procedures and policies, always with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.

As a hands-on leader, Louise leads by example, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail and her ability to tackle complex financial challenges with ease.

Louise is also a passionate traveller who enjoys exploring new destinations and experiencing different cultures. When she’s not on the go, Louise can often be found indulging in her favourite hobby: crochet. Her creativity and patience in this craft reflect her meticulous nature and dedication to detail.
